Rwanda Agro Tourism in Karongi, Rwanda
Karongi is in Western Province, Rwanda. Its capital is Rubengera, but the district also contains Kibuye, the provincial capital and a major Rwandan lakeside resort. This town is the prettiest of Lake Kivu’s towns with a verdant, tropical spot surrounded hills and covered in Pine and Eucalyptus.
Environment Museum
It is not only a tourism site but also an educational platform. Educating Rwandans and tourists to Rwanda about environmental tourism and the importance of protecting plants. In educating tourists on how to cope with their environments, the museum shows the cultural use of traditional medicinal plants.
Apart from educating people on the benefits of traditional medicinal plants, the museum will also showcase different forms of energy produced in the area, the role played by energy in the changing environment and its impact. All of that will make the facility a true learning platform.
Bisesero Genocide Memorial
About 30km southeast from Kibuye, the small village of Bisesero is home to stunning scenery and a stirring genocide memorial.
